Description: This is a vast 12,000 tsubo (approximately 40,000 square meters) site that forms two soulful zones. One is the "Edo Castle Zone," consisting of Edo Castle's Otemon (main gate), samurai residences, and the Nagaya-mon (longhouse gate), among others. The other is the "Edo Town Zone" centered around Nihonbashi, featuring large-scale merchant shopping streets, machiya (townhouses), and shipping merchants. Everything from the scenery to the exterior and architectural style has been faithfully recreated from the Edo period, and it is fully prepared to support the mainstream technology of high-definition filming. It's also a major advantage that it's located just about an hour from the city center, allowing for significantly shortened travel times and making effective use of filming days.

The backstreets of Edo recreate the pathways of the large store district "Daitenmachi" from the Edo period (1603 - 1868). It sets the scene with a row of houses inhabited by stylish people from the Edo period. The Daitenmachi is a representative scene from the Edo period. Across the street are other large stores, and this represents a major street in Edo. The entire scene, including the bridge, is reminiscent of the Nihonbashi area at that time. The Nihonbashi construction is even more realistic than that of the bridge at the Toei Kyoto Studio. Scenes of encounters on the bridge and the foot traffic of Edo are filmed here.

The shipping merchants recreate the stores and docks of wealthy merchants clustered around the Ohoribata and the port in Edo. The Mitsuke is located near the boundary between samurai residences and machiya, imagined to be the area around Akasaka Mitsuke. It features the high-ranking gate, Mitsuke-yagura (Mitsuke guard tower), and is characterized by the fact that even if a 360-degree camera is rotated, modern items are not visible.

The Otemon of Edo Castle is designed to resemble the exterior of the castle that Tokugawa Ieyasu built in Edo. A turret gate is positioned in the back, with the main gate in the center of the front, and a solid compound wall continues endlessly to the north and south turrets. At the time, there were no stone walls constructed around the perimeter; it was still a simple mound. The Otemon is modeled after the gate at Hirosaki Castle, and the turret is modeled after the Hikone Castle and Kumamoto Castle Uto Turret. It was constructed at a scale of roughly 70% of the actual size. The spacious area in front of the gate is also used for battle scenes and daimyo processions.

The Yakushimon (medicine gate) was built for people of high status, such as doctors, to enter residences. The samurai residences express the residences of daimyo from the Muromachi period to the Momoyama period. At the time, there were still few tiled buildings, with board roofing and Japanese cypress bark roofing predominantly used. It is a style building that represents the main shrine, and can also be used for use as a temple. It is also characterized by various types of doors such as the sudari-do and the maira-do.

The Nagaya-mon expresses a part of the samurai residences from the Edo period. The back is actually modeled after the guard stations within Edo Castle. It is a building with two faces, the front and the back.

The townhouses express the townhouses of Edo townspeople who were engaged in commerce in the early Edo period. Tiled roofs were rare, and board roofing and Japanese cypress bark roofing were more commonly used. This appearance contains the vestiges of the "rakuichi rakusa" from the Azuchi-Momoyama era. The "battari," a building fixture where the sliding doors open and close horizontally and were used to display goods, is also a characteristic feature. It is often used for filming scenes in towns.

The forest behind the warp station is used as a pass in period dramas. It is a mountain path resembling a slope, where scenes of going up and down a street can be filmed. The road is not paved, as the natural forest remains, and there are branching paths within the forest.
